About the Artist
I, S. Sweeney, a.k.a. Sweeney's Studios, am an artist born and raised in Parma, OH, although I now call Deltona, FL home. For as long as I have been crawling, I have been doing art in some way, shape, or form. By the time I was about 2, my brother snuck in some blue paint to our room and I ended up painting everything, myself included. Then, when I was around 5, my parents found me hiding behind our big family couch, with a huge elmo mural that I had envisioned in crayon all across the walls.
From there, it has only continued as I have only found more of an interest and an inclination to continue to push myself, learning and growing my knowledge and abilities as I have continued through my nearly 30 years of this wild journey we call life.
Art as a whole is my passion - graphic illustrations/designs, acrylic paintings, and sclupting/resin work is of my favourites, but I've been known to dabble in watercolour, sewing/plush making, photography, woodwork, tattoo designing, storybook illustrating, murals, duct tape sculptures and accessories, and so on. I would love to add more storybook work, game landscape designing, creating a clothing line/designs (if you're curious, I actually have a gym apparel line in the works, I just need to launch it officially)
I started this website back in 2021 as an unpaid, no personal domain site. It was in use for about three years and worked on here and there, but never actively maintained until 2024 when I purchased the domain name and overhauled the page. I changed everything about the website, including the theme change from a white background to the bold deep purple one you see now! I know that almost everyone I have interacted with prefers the dark mode on websites, and until I can configure a way to switch between a light and dark mode, this will be it!
You may have seen me in the past on Etsy (2021-2024? ish?) and beforehand selling my art via facebook and instagram posts, or in person. I wanted a more professional approach to selling my art, as well as keeping it all my own/not be involved with 3rd party sellers, and thus this website was made and the domain name purchased!
I have a registered LLC for the business, I am the sole member of said business, and I am also the creative behind all of this! You are looking at over 15 years of digital art experience, 31 years of art experience, a few art certifications, a high school degree, lots of caffeine, and an inability to just give up all culminated together into one website!
